Compare “Spiritueuse Double Vanille” by Guerlain® [brand] to our interpretation “Divine Vanilla Spirit”. As many of you know, I am addicted to vanilla, but not the cheap-smelling stuff. When this perfume was suggested to me I jumped to sample it. Our interpretation begins with top notes of heavy, smoky vanilla, to my nose it reminds me of a dark coffee, but others say it is a smoky vanilla-tobacco. The actual notes of this fragrance are: vanilla, spices, benzoin, frankincense, cedar, pink pepper, bergamot, Bulgarian rose and ylang ylang. All in all it is a deliciously decadent vanilla perfume.

We tested several duplications of this delicious fragrance, but none passed the test for us – they lacked that bottom muskiness that we feel for the first time we ever-smelled the “real deal”. So, we upped the ante so to speak to our Master Perfumist and this is the awesome result! Our interpretation smells exactly like the heavy, sultry notes of the wallflower oils. This is unlike most of the “vanilla sandalwood” fragrances I’ve run across ~ this is a lovely blend of smooth vanilla with hints of sandalwood bottom notes. This is more of a sweet vanilla note. We really do like this!

Oh my, I used to love these when I was a kid ~ especially at Halloween time when they were given out quite a bit. Now you can enjoy this wonderful sweet candy scent in your products! A sweet caramelized sugar and nut type with a milky buttery coconut top-note, a roasted chestnut and maple middle-note, and a vanilla/sugar base-note.
